'Tis the season to be jolly and joyous, which is why people are making the nerdiest Christmas #content you can think of and popping it on YouTube.
'Tis the season when the saints can employ us to share said #content and spread a little bit of geeky festive cheer.
We've already shared the oldie but a goodie Darth Vader log fire screensaver thing, and now the How It Should Have Ended guys present traditional carol 'Silent Night', as sung (or growled) by Chewbacca.
And here it is, turn the subtitles on for extra 'lols':
As the info box for the video says, the audio has actually been around since 1999 – the year we were blessed with the first Star Wars prequel The Phantom Menace.
Because of earlier Internet file sharing services like Napster and LimeWire, the original creator Scott Andersen was rarely credited* but the HISHE guys have tracked Scott down and got his blessing to produce a video to go with the audio.
If you've ever seen the Star Trek 'Make It So' version of 'Let It Snow' then it's the same person, James Covenant, who edited the video.
*(Remember when dodgy file-sharing sites told you that songs like 'Weenie in a Bottle' were by Weird Al Yankovic and it was Linkin Park who performed the 'Rock the Dragon' theme tune for Dragon Ball Z? Those were the days.)© Lucasfilm
