Chewbacca Singing Silent Night Is The Only Song You’ll Need This Christmas

Ever wondered how Christmas is celebrated in the Star Wars universe? Well Chewbacca has given us a stirring rendition of Silent Night to assist with our imaginations.

Originally created in 1999 by Scott Andersen, the audio of Chewbacca singing the Christmas classic has been lovingly revived via YouTube channel How It Should Have Ended, matched to a feast of Star Wars clips for extra authenticity.

The result? A beautiful, emotional, quite possibly life-affirming cover from the ear-tingling angels.

As a Wookie, Chewbacca coats his Silent Night rendition with his thundering groans and moans every Star Wars fan has been trying to replicate since 1977.

If anything, it’s certainly a more enjoyable experience than 1978’s Star Wars Holiday Special, if you’re up on your terrible Star Wars spin-offs.

Not-so terrible is the recently released Rogue One: A Star Wars Story which is the first major blockbuster spin-off in the franchise’s history.

While we can expect another appearance from Chewie in the forthcoming Star Wars: Episode 8, rumours are also circulating we’ll see a youthful Wookie in the planned Han Solo spin-off film starring Alden Ehrenreich.

The as-of-yet untitled Han Solo spin-off is currently scheduled to be released on May 25 2018.
